Trade 18 | Homeward Creative

Documenting craftsmanship is something I can lose myself in. In contrast to my landscape work, when the process is building something bespoke by hand photographing it is all about the small details, care and attention that is poured into creating. Dave and Emma of Homeward Creative specialise in turning reclaimed wood into unique pieces of furniture handmade in their workshop just outside of York.

As well as photographing the woodwork itself in their workshop I was also given free reign to direct some more creative product shots of their completed side tables... which hopefully explains the woman perched precariously in heels on the table at the end of this photoset. A visual testimony to the sturdiness of Dave's creations if you will.
