Trade 13 | Waterhead Hotel

A shift in tone from the hostel bunk bed. Elterwater is at the heart of the Lake District and my weekend there had been appropriately characteristic of the area - great hospitality, views earnt from miles walked and haphazard weather. But I was tired and a little on edge from spinning the logistical plates of where I was going/trading next for the remainder of the week. Then the last minute came and it all clicked into place.

James of trade 12 arranged this trade for me through a contact, helping me join the trades to sort the rest of my week while also keeping me there to help with further work for the Windermere Cruises. It was finalised in the morning and a couple of hours later I walked into the hotel with no knowledge of what to expect.

The Waterhead Hotel turned out to be a one night stop well beyond my usual means that had me feeling a little out of place, but the project is already making a habit of exceeding my expectations. So I settled in and picked up the camera again.
