Trade 48 | Travel Storytelling Getaway
The Travel Storytelling Festival. A cousin to Yestival (trade 26) in both an overlapping community (at least from the small British contingent) and as a weekend revolving around the telling of various pursuits, ventures and experiences. Except the field in Surrey was swapped out for a cosy Chateau in Belgium. When Caroline - one of the organisers who I'd also met at Yestival - invited me to speak there I said I had no idea what I was doing in February yet... but sign me up and I'll find my way there somehow.
For the weekend under this roof this group of ~120 strangers from various corners of Europe gathered to hear and tell stories, listen to live music, attend workshops, drink beer, photograph and, if the packed schedule became too much, ease up in any number of spots inside and outside the Chateau.
