Trade 42 | Matthias Hahn & Martin Rheinländer
Janik had been calling round his friends for anyone interested in trading with me next and Matthias and Martin put their hands up. With a day’s notice they welcomed me into their flat. Carrying on the theme, Matthias greeted me immediately - calm, collected and easy to chat to right off the bat. Martin walked into the kitchen a little later and raising my arm to shake his hand he took it to pull me up off my seat and give a great big hug instead. Tone set.
Both were just looking for a handful of photos each for their respective online businesses. Both chilled out, open minded and equally switched on as online marketers in their own ways. Martin, with his business partner Sven, ran an online coaching website teaching the various facets of manliness and Matthias an e-learning platform.
An easygoing environment to be in while I was working so close to the wire with my next logistics steps. Bolstered by meals out with with Matthias, Martin's excellent cheesecake and Sven struggling to keep a straight face as all Martin could think to ‘fake talk’ about for the photos was buttholes.
Try not to read into the gestures too much...
